Are You Ready for Jesus to Come? by Roy Pandleton

I've heard this song many years ago. This week as I practiced my piano, I tried to play this song. At first was so boring, especially at the first stanza, but then after practice by practice, I found the "click" in this song. Even I could improvise and I could manage to play and sing this song. I also found that the words profoundly shout the questions for each one of us that whether we are ready or not for Jesus to come. It's because he's coming back again. And the question for me too : Am I?

The theme of the Bible is Jesus
and how He died to save men
The plan of salvation assures us
He's coming back again

Are you ready for Jesus to come?
Are you faithful in all that you do?
Have you fought a good fight?
Have you stood for the right?
Have others seen Jesus in you?

Are you ready to stand in your place?
Are you ready to look in His face?
Can you look up and say, "This is My Lord!"
Are you ready for Jesus to come?

Don't cling to the world and its treasure
This earth will soon pass away
Oh, give Him your love without measure, He's calling you today!

Are you ready for Jesus to come?

Are you faithful in all that you do?

Do you fight a good fight?

Do you stand for the right?

Do others see Jesus in you?

Are you ready to stand in your place?

Are you ready to look in His face?

Can you look up and say, "This is My Lord!"

Are you ready for Jesus to come?

Hi, I'm Roy in England. I just heard this beautiful Gospel song on 3ABN and did a Google search for the words, and it took me to your blog site. I first heard "Are You Ready for Jesus to Come" sung many years ago by Del Delker. I still have those lovely old recordings of her and also the "Kings Heralds" from back in the 50's. I find they are great favorites still. The searching words of this song were never more appropriate than now as we near the 2nd Coming of Jesus. The fast-fulfilling signs surely call us to awake and be ready.
My personal ministry is called "Bread of Life UK" and a daily message is sent to anyone wishing to receive it. bread_of_life77@yahoo.co.uk is the address to contact. Website is www.breadoflife7.com
May our soon-coming Lord bless and guide you every one is my prayer.

I am from Indonesia. Just a few minutes ago a girl sang this beautiful song in our Wednesday night or mid-week worship in our Seventh Day Adventist church. What an inspirational song.

I was just asked to accompany a singer on this song for divine worship in about an hour. The chords, in G are: G G C D G D9 G / G G Em A D/A A7 D for the verse, and G Gmaj7 G7 Cmaj9 C Cm G / repeat that sequence / C Cm Bm E7#9 A9 A A9 A D D7 / repeat the G Gmaj7... sequence twice C Cm6 Bm7 E7 / Am7 Am7b5 D7 G. Hope that makes sense!
